[Quick Tip] Using Evernote to Scan Documents

By June 24, 2014 7 Comments

Evernote is an amazing tool for a number of reasons, but its phone scanner alone is reason enough to sign up for an account. I have noticed this recently while using my iPhone's Evernote app to scan paper documents. The document scanner flattens and brightens documents so that they are much easier to view than if you just took a picture with your phone.

Given you have an Evernote account and the Evernote app, here are the step by step instructions:

Open the app and tap the "+" in the top right hand corner to create a new note.

Tap the camera icon, then the document camera option as pictured below.

Align your document with the camera frame.

And voila! You now have an easy-to-read document in your note AND in your phone's camera roll for easy access.
