The partners and staff at Nexxtep were proud to award the 4th Annual CIS Scholarship to Amanda Mitchell, a senior at Valdosta State University. Each year, Nexxtep partners with VSU to recognize a promising student excelling in and out of the classroom.
The faculty selected Ms. Mitchell because she has both the technical and "soft" skills needed to succeed in a professional environment. VSU Professor Dave Gibson commnented of Mitchell, "Amanda's performance in the classroom has been stellar, but what truly sets her apart are her soft skills. Every interaction I have had with her has been professional and polite, and she seems truly engaged and interested in learning. She also takes feedback extremely well and uses it to improve her future work."
We hosted a reception for Ms. Mitchell and VSU faculty in our office on April 26th.
The Valdosta Daily Times stopped by during the reception as well. You can read the article they wrote about our scholarship here.
